Dyson announced its new vacuum cleaners at IFA 2025, signaling its widespread strategy to bring out more products in the home cleaning segment. The announcement included the brand’s first robotic vacuum designed to vacuum and wash floors. Named Dyson Spot+Scrub AI, this model marks Dyson’s foray into the “wet and dry” robotic segment, and it has now been released globally. It combines vacuuming, washing, and self-cleaning in one machine and stands out by using AI to detect hidden stains that are normally skipped.

The Dyson Spot+Scrub AI robot vacuum cleaner identifies wet and dry spills separately and then decides the number of cleaning passes to remove them. Much like Dyson PencilVac, it uses green illumination, an HD camera, and AI to identify hidden stains and then adapts its cleaning behavior in real-time.

The company says it can identify nearly 200 types of hidden household substances. After detecting tough stains, the robot uses up to 15 cleaning passes to ensure it is cleaned completely. It even verifies that the stains have been removed before moving further on its cleaning path.

This robot vacuum self-empties, self-cleans, refills, and recharges automatically. Its docking station charges and empties the robot, and hygienically cleans and dries its floor-washing wet roller after every clean. It auto-empties dry debris using powerful Dyson cyclones and has a storage capacity for 100 days. There are also 0.6 gallons of clean water and 0.55 gallons of dirty water in the tanks onboard.

The robot vacuum and mop come with a 10.6-inch self-cleaning microfiber roller with a 12-point hydration system. It uses 60 degrees Celsius heated water to loosen stubborn dirt and automatically extends 1.6 inches to clean up to the edge of the walls.

The robot vacuum and mop is engineered for both hard and soft floors. When it detects carpets, the advanced AI system automatically raises the wet roller 0.4 inches and boosts the power by up to 4 times to enhance cleaning performance. The Dyson Spot+Scrub AI robot also features a slimline design, allowing it to navigate and clean under furniture with only a 4.3-inch height clearance.

The Dyson Spot+Scrub AI robot vacuum cleaner uses a digital motor and has a maximum suction of 18,000Pa. It is claimed to vacuum up to 36 square feet on a single charge. The brand says it offers 200 minutes of runtime and can be charged in just three hours. You can use the mobile app to control your robot and customize smart features like home mapping, room-specific cleaning modes, no-go zones, scheduling, real-time updates, and cleaning time estimates.
