Epson’s Lifestudio Grand series of ultra-short-throw (UST) projectors has been expanded again following the success of the Lifestudio Grand EH‑LS670. The flagship Lifestudio Grand EH‑LS970 model features an elegant form factor that lets you enjoy large-screen entertainment centimeters away from the wall. It retains the 3LCD laser technology and Sound by Bose, but there are improvements in resolution, brightness, and screen size.
The Lifestudio Grand EH‑LS970 offers native 4K UHD (3840 × 2160) resolution for a cinematic experience at home. It offers 4,000 lumens of brightness with a 3LCD laser light source and a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 that ensures optimal black levels and vibrant images even in well-lit rooms. The projector also uses an AI‑powered image optimization engine; however, there are no precise details about its functionality. If it is the same as the EH‑LS670 model, then you can expect AI to automatically sharpen fine details and optimize brightness and contrast to enhance the picture quality in real time.
Setting up the UST projector is quite easy, as you can take the help of the Epson Setting Assistant app that guides you using your smartphone camera. In other details, the 20,000‑hour laser light source is the same as the previous Lifestudio model. Another perk that’s a deal maker is the 5‑year warranty, which ensures you have less trouble over time.

With an improved throw ratio of 0.16-4:1, it can now beam up to a 150-inch image from just centimeters away from the wall. For discovering content, the projector comes with built-in Google TV, including Netflix support. There is also a built-in ALLM gaming mode with input lag under 20 ms, making it suitable for enjoying favorite titles.
There are no details about the pricing yet, but you can expect the cost to be higher than the previous model, which was listed for £2,200 (approximately $2,960) in the UK. The EH‑LS970 Lifestudio Grand UST projector is slated to be available from April 2026.
