The tiny houses on wheels by the builders from the land Down Under have a tell-tale sign. They all flaunt stunning black exteriors and the Everest Tiny House is no exception. Designed by the New Zealand-based builder Fox Cabins, Everest is a cozy tiny house built on a triple-axle trailer that can be used as a retreat, Airbnb rental, or permanent home.

Inside its black galvanized steel façade, the micro-dwelling packs a large downstairs bedroom, cozy mezzanine lounge, living room, complete kitchen, and bathroom. Measuring 25.5 feet long, the Everest tiny house is accessible via French doors that open into the living room.

The living room features an L-shaped couch with storage. A simple and effective kitchen is opposite the living room with space for a big refrigerator, four-burner cooktop, range hood, custom benchtops, sink, and plenty of under-counter storage and shelves. A big, bi-fold window keeps the cooking space bright and well-ventilated. There is also space for a washer/dryer unit under the kitchen counters.

Accessible through a sliding ladder, a mezzanine lounge is located above the living room. It has a skylight, two beanbag chairs, a reading lamp, and a small bookcase. The space can be used to sleep two people with ease.

Two doors flank the open-floor kitchen and living room, one leads to the bedroom and the other to the bathroom. The bedroom is accessible via the door next to the living room. It features a queen-size bed, a wardrobe, and a ranch-style slider door, bringing the outdoors in.

On the other end of the Everest tiny house, the bathroom packs a showerdome, flushing toilet, and vanity sink. The micro-dwelling is also outfitted with a carbon monoxide alarm and a 10-year photoelectric smoke alarm. The Everest tiny house by Fox Cabins is priced at NZ $142,900 (US $86,200 approximately), which is a bargain amidst the ongoing rental spikes.
