Beekeepers have to face many difficulties such as dealing with smoke guns, hot knives, wax centrifuge, etc. while harvesting honey; even many bees die during honey extraction. To combat the problem- Stuart and Cedar Anderson, Australia-based father and son duo, have contrived a revolutionary beehive dubbed Flow Hive that easily extracts honey at single push of a button without disturbing the bees inside.

It is basically a rectangular wooden block, which provides the bees with partially-completed walls of honeycomb cells so that they can form wax on their own. Soon after the cells are filled with honey and wax, the beekeepers have to open the opposite end for allowing honey to flow out through tap without troubling the bees. Now to collect the honey, only a single push on the tap is required and all honey will automatically flow into the jar with ease.

After harvesting honey, leave the bees to prepare themselves for next honey formation by simply reopening and filling the cells all over again. Due to this simple yet beneficial device, the duo is hoping to offer an easy solution to beekeepers across the globe for preventing colony collapse disorder in bees. This project has successfully surpassed its initial target of about $70,000 on Indiegogo and soon will hit the market to transform the honey extraction industry with the latest technology.
