The home is where the heart is, and Janice exemplifies the phrase beautifully. She has built an enchanting sanctuary for herself in the heart of the city, enveloped by a lush tropical garden. Janice is a pottery artist, and her tiny house is full of artistic expressions, with her sculptures and artworks throughout. The tiny house is about her journey of surviving breast cancer and rebuilding her life from scratch after floods destroyed her home and most of her belongings.

Janice’s Garden tiny house has two renovated caravans adjoined together. Her sons helped her build a platform and windows, transforming an unlikely home into a magical space. Wherever the eyes go, her personality and beauty shine through. Whether it’s the outdoors with her handmade sculptures, the majestic garden, or the interior with a vibrant color palette and bohemian aesthetic, every corner is full of character and lively spirit. She has her art studio, where she spends her time giving shape to her thoughts, creating beautiful pieces.

Janice has an ecstatic outdoor space, which incorporates a lounge area and a hanging swing. Janice is also a cat mom and has built a snake-proof catio for her felines. She also has an outdoor shower, outfitted with a tub, a shower, and a hot water system. The exterior of her house features beautiful French doors and multiple stained windows to keep the interior airy and light-filled.

Inside Janice’s tiny house, a different world unfolds. Her vibrant lounge area screams coziness and invites you to relax. It includes a coffee table, a plush sofa, and a large cabinet for antiques. The space is opulent with encompassing windows, plants, and fairy lights, and handmade lanterns transform it into a fantasy land.

At the entrance, Janice has a small dinner table that also doubles as her workspace. There is more storage and decorative antiques, reviving the space. She even has a hammock in this space for her grandkids to come and hang out in.

Things get even better in the kitchen, where she has used the fabric on the wall and ceiling to soften the space, making it cozy and warm. Wherever you look, there is something that makes the space unique and eye-catching, including eclectic art pieces that she has collected from various artists. In the kitchen, she has a dedicated workstation with a view of the garden.

Janice doesn’t like cooking; that’s why she doesn’t have an elaborate kitchen space. There is a generous countertop, some cabinets, and minimal appliances for cooking basic meals.

Her bedroom is the coziest space to sleep, read, and just enjoy some peace. The bedroom is equipped with a storage-integrated bed, fairy lights, artworks, and her creative collection. The Moroccan coffee table serves as a divider in the room, adding an enticing feature. She also has an indoor bathroom, which isn’t completely constructed.

Janice has been living in her Garden tiny house since 2014 and has made a home out of this space. For her, living in her tiny house feels like a big, warm hug. Every detail in the house reflects her love for art, nature, and colors, with beautiful art pieces on display throughout. Her art-filled home exemplifies that you don’t need a large space to live a rich and fulfilled life. After losing everything in a flood, one thing she never lost was her spirit. The total amount that she invested in her home is around $10,000, which is worth every penny.
