Portugal-based Go-Pod, known for making compact, all-weather micro caravans, has unveiled the new Flex model that will impress you with its innovative interior space achieved by a 3D CAD design approach. They have collaborated with a CAD design firm that scanned the interior of an empty Go-Pod to create a 3D model to redesign the Flex from scratch.

This technique provides greater control of design and manufacturing processes as Go-Pod can visualize the end result before the furnishings are fabricated and installed. The designers have spent over 100 hours remodeling the interior of the Flex to create a micro tourer based on feedback provided by their team and data gathered from customer feedback surveys.

Just like previous models, the Go-Pod Flex features a one-piece GRP fiberglass shell with no seams or joins for better protection against leaks. The interior space is equipped with completely redesigned furnishings and the latest features to match the evolving needs of the leisure vehicle market.

Built on a galvanized steel chassis, the Flex model features an aerodynamic shape made using a wood skeleton frame, 4mm thick medium-density polystyrene insulation, and white lacquered MDF board wall panels. The new caravan has a cozy seating area, sleeping area, porta potti in a cupboard, and standing height with a pop-up roof.

We have already seen the camper trailer market gradually moving away from LPG appliances, as with Airstream’s latest Basecamp Xe model. Following the same, the Flex model is all-electric, with three 240V sockets as well as 12V and USB sockets to use for different appliances.

The kitchen has 2800w Sterling Power dual induction hobs, a microwave, 12v compressor refrigerator, sink and tap with cover, water pump, under-counter drawers and a pantry rack. The living has enough seating area with fully upholstered cushions for 2-3 persons. In the reworked bed configuration, the side seats slide out to meet in the middle and you can configure it as single beds or a full double bed.

The Go-Pod Flex camper trailer now comes with insulated soundproof wall cladding. The bed configuration has also been updated, as there is a new table design with three configurations. The flooring is also updated with marine cork. As for other new features, storage space has been a major focus, with newly formed sheet metal overhead lockers, seating area shelving, and reworked toilet cupboards.

The trailer comes standard with 175/70 R13 86N tires, AL-KO independent braking system, AL-KO running gear, AL-KO hitch and draw bar, stabilizer legs, and a height-adjustable jockey wheel. Its lightweight design makes it capable of being towed by most small cars and even EVs.

If you’re searching for a compact, lightweight, easy-to-tow micro caravan, the Go-Pods Flex can be a perfect choice for you. There are no official pricing details yet, but full production is set to begin in mid-2025.

Go-Pod claims they are the first caravan manufacturer to use 3D design techniques to configure the camper trailer’s interior. The Go-Pod Flex was winner of The Caravan & Motorhome Club 2025 Design Award  in “Pop Tops 1150 kg and under without washroom” category.
