Who puts a slide inside the house? It’s stupid; or is it brilliant? If you have ever wished to have an indoor slide in your home, chances are that you are not getting that wish anytime soon, if ever. That doesn’t mean you cannot enjoy the feeling. The Greenhouse cabin in Hocking Hills, South Bloomingville, Ohio, is a quaint family-friendly Airbnb retreat with an indoor slide to get you your wish.
The Greenhouse cabin is aptly named with its green aesthetic inside and out. There is an indoor slide that takes you from the living room to the basement hangout space, where you will find an arcade game, watch television on the convertible couch, explore the Hidden Speakeasy room with a ping pong table, darts, a basketball hoop, and a small room for kids to play in. The hallway has many doors, probably with supplies, but you get access to a laundry room.
The basement has big windows, making it feel like a regular room instead of a typical basement. Outside, there is a 7-person hot tub, a fire pit, and hanging lights all around.
You take the stairs to get back up to the first level. It has floor-to-ceiling windows to bathe the interior in natural light and immersive surrounding views. The living area has an electric fireplace, a giant wall-mounted television (there are six smart TVs in total), High-speed internet (Starlink Wi-Fi), and a comfy sofa, reading chair, and nesting tables. On one side, the space is cordoned off by a safety railing with two openings, one for the indoor slide and the other for the hanging net.
Adjacent is the kitchen, which will make you feel right at home with its high-end appliances. You can cook your meals during your stay at the Greenhouse cabin. It has green cabinets, multiple shelves, a huge countertop, an island, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a cooktop, and a refrigerator. You can seat four people at the island, where the adjoining dining space seats six more.
Past the kitchen, there are three doors. One leads you to a pretty bunk bed room. There are two bunks to sleep four people. There is another TV in here to keep the guests entertained and a bean bag chair. The second door leads to one of the main bedrooms. It has a queen-size bed, a smart TV, bedside tables, a closet, and a luggage rack. There is a heater and a fan to keep you snug in every season. The third door provides access to the bathroom, which has a tall shower, a big vanity with two sinks, a toilet, and plenty of storage.
A sliding door from the living area leads out to the main deck, which is an amazing space to hang out with your party and enjoy a cookout. There is outdoor lounge furniture, a dining area, and a grill.
When you walk up the stairs to the loft area, you find another lounge space with a couch, chair, and some music. There is a coffee station here along with a workstation, so if you want to work on vacation, this is a suitable spot for it. The level is studded with plenty of skylights to make it dreamy.

The primary bedroom is on the loft level with a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom, another smart TV, chair, dresser drawers, bedside tables, walk-in closet, and a private balcony with outdoor furniture. You can sip your coffee out on the balcony while enjoying the views.
The Greenhouse cabin is situated amid a forest, offering numerous sites to explore. Available on Airbnb for rent, you can book the Greenhouse cabin for about $550/night, depending on the season of your visit.
