Herman Miller is a Michigan-based manufacturer of top-notch interior furnishings for home and offices. Living Office is one of its iconic creations with the ability to turn any space into a funny, efficient and interesting work space. If you work from your home office, and find it hard to spend more time at work, then the new range of smart furniture by Herman Miller might be a good alternative for you. This transforming furniture range features Live OS, a unique system of connected sensors that monitors space utilization stats and also helps people to change positions frequently throughout the day.

With the companion mobile app, users can schedule the smart height-adjustable desk to automatically transform from a standard desk to standing work desk. Just like the StandDesk, it has on-board button to adjust the height of the desk. Users can set reminders to change postures during the work day. Also one can set preferences when it’s time to sit or stand up in order to enhance the overall work efficiency. The live dashboard of the adjustable desk provides real-time insights to keep a check at the performance of the workplace.

Standalone sensors can be bought if you want to use it with some of your existing furniture. It will cost US$100 with an additional US$36 subscription fee per desk per year. On the other hand, the Herman Miller Sit-to-Stand Desk with Live OS will cost US$1,499 with an additional US$60 subscription fee. The company has designed it for offices so it is rather purposeful for larger offices.
