Hisense’s S7 series of CanvasTV serves as a budget-friendly competitor to market leaders like Samsung’s The Frame or LG’s Gallery TV. For 2026, the brand has introduced the second generation of the series in the US. The most important part of this announcement is the introduction of a new 50-inch size that will bring the series to more people out there. This strategy follows Samsung, which has also launched a bigger size of its The Frame for 2026.
Apart from the new size option, Hisense has also made minor performance refinements, but core features of the original 2025 model are retained in the 2026 S7SG series. Not many technical details are out yet, but you can expect it to be similar to the 2025 version, just with some updates. According to DisplaySpecifications, the 2026 S7SG series adds a 50-inch version to the existing range while it continues to offer the 55, 65, 75, and 85-inch models.
The 2026 CanvasTV features a 4K QLED panel with a 144Hz native refresh rate and Dolby Vision support that ensures you get the best viewing experience. What makes it different from standard TVs is the Hi-Matte anti‑glare coating that helps it maintain clarity even in bright rooms, making the TV look like a real artwork. There is a built-in AI-powered RGB light sensor that automatically adjusts the display to match ambient lighting, while the built-in motion sensor showcases photos only when you come near for energy savings.
When using the CanvasTV in Art Mode, the TV transforms into a digital gallery, where you can display a variety of free artworks, and you can even upload your own photos. Just press the Art Mode button to switch between different masterpieces. There is also an option to change its orientation and even change its look with replaceable white and walnut frames available separately. These frames attach magnetically to the TV frame, allowing you to match them to different interior styles. Each unit comes with an ultra-slim wall mount that makes the TV sit flush against the wall to complement the framed painting look.

This 4K QLED TV runs on the Google TV platform and uses MediaTek Pentonic 700 (MT9618) chipset with updated AI-driven processing algorithms for enhanced color and image quality. It is equipped with a 36W 2.0.2 multi‑channel surround system for immersive sound. For connectivity, it comes with two HDMI 2.1 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, a LAN port, two USB ports, an optical audio out, and a cable/antenna input.
There are fewer official details about the specs, pricing, and availability of the 2026 Hisense S7SG CanvasTV models yet. You can expect the series to arrive globally soon in a price range that is, of course, more affordable than Samsung or LG.
