Founded in 2018 by two scientists Dylan Lovinger and Timothy O’Connor, California-based company HyperCube is known for making sound reactive, LED infinity light art pieces. They have recently come up with a new iteration of their original mirror light cube. The all-new HyperCube-SE is upgraded version of the HyperCube10 and HyperCube15, with nearly same features, plus a number of big improvements in design and technical equipment.

The HyperCube SE version features a thinner and injection molded frame for tighter fitting parts. The frame allows a larger view of the “hyperspace” inside the cube with less obstruction. The old glossy finish is changed to matte finish that is less prone to scratches. The new cubes have a single LED strip along each edge, instead of two, with 50-percent higher density LEDs (90 LED/m). Despite the lower number of LEDs, each LED is placed closer to improve the fidelity of the patterns. Furthermore, the new light can be hung easily with an optional snap hook and cable.

Each unit features three modes: Kaleidoscope, Meditative and Sound Reactive. You can choose from 95 different patterns as per the occasion. 30 unique sound-reactive patterns use a microphone to sync lights with music to create a dynamic show based on lows, mids, and highs. The LED light automatically cycles through new patterns every minute, and new colors are generated every 10 seconds. It is like an infinite kaleidoscope of light and color designed to take you to another dimension.

The mobile app lets you customize colors, brightness, and effects, and even sync with the music. You can also control it with the button on the control box. The HyperCube-SE syncs with up to 256 Hyper-Devices. Another feature to highlight is that the cube has its own Wi-Fi hotspot that you can connect to the cube and control it from anywhere. You can also power it with a battery bank using USB-C port.

This multi-sensory light cube brings a spectacular display of mesmerizing animated light show to your home or office. You can choose between two sizes, with the smaller HyperCube10-SE is available for preorder on Kickstarter for $150.
