The latest IKEA offering, the GREJSIMOJS collection, is designed to become a playful yet functional addition to a home with kids. Following the recognition of play’s importance for a child’s happiness and well-being, as highlighted in the latest IKEA Play Report, the collection features playful textures, shapes, and forms that spark joy wherever they are placed. All the objects from the new global collection are highlighted by their vibrant colors, while some integrate playfulness into everyday home furnishings, seamlessly blending into their surroundings.
More than 20 designers combined worked on the project, and 12 of them got featured in the final collection. The designers drew inspiration from their own childhood memories and came up with functional design objects that can be perceived differently by both adults and children.
Its perfect example is a statement rug that might be an interior décor piece for adults while a crawling child will see it as a playground to explore. This might be the reason IKEA has come up with a light green rug and soft floor cushions for parents to play along with kids.
There are a total of 33 pieces, but all of them are playful and practical, like the tabletop storage jars designed as cats, mice-shaped speakers, and a rocking horse re-imagined in the form of a bird. There is even a multifunctional yellow pouf with hidden storage space that reveals a teeth-like design when opened. The modern cactus-shaped clothes hanger and a moose-shaped wooden stool are also beautifully aligned to the theme, while a giraffe-shaped floor lamp in bright yellow will be a cute addition to any child’s room.

Other cool highlights are the 20-piece toy building blocks, board games, soft toys, knobs, multi-colored wall decorations, kids’ furniture, and a furry cover for the classic MAMMUT kids’ chair. The collection also features the 2026 Color of the Year by IKEA US i.e., Rebel Pink; you can find this bold color in the fluffy cover for the MAMMUT chair.
All the pieces from the GREJSIMOJS collection are designed to spread playfulness all around your home. Their creative shapes and designs are what make them perfect for a home with kids. These pieces are slated to launch globally in February 2026.
