IKEA lamps remain sleek and sophisticated while maintaining their quirky designs. For 2026, the Scandinavian giant has expanded its collaboration with Italian designer Raffaella Mangiarotti by adding two new lamps to the family. Both floor lamps are dual-shaded statement pieces, namely Mossplym and Trådnate. The luminaires bridge the gap between high-end Italian aesthetics and accessible, mass-produced home goods.
The IKEA x Raffaella Mangiarotti lamps are designed to serve two purposes at once. They combine an ambient ‘uplight’ to brighten the entire room with a focused ‘task light’ on an adjustable arm for reading. Mangiarotti focuses on subtraction, removing all non-essential elements (like extra screws) to keep products affordable while maintaining a sophisticated, sculptural form.
“I’ve always had a passion for lighting, and it’s a dream to be able to combine different functions and typologies of light – with the kind of global reach only accessible to IKEA,” says Raffaella Mangiarotti on the brand’s page.
The Trådnate lamp is rooted in Mangiarotti’s fascination with the shapes of nature. It features two branch-like arms extending from a single base that support the black, opaque shades with gold brass details at different heights. The large, static top shade with a 30 cm diameter spreads light upward to illuminate the room, while the smaller head attached to a rotatable arm allows you to direct light specifically for reading or work.
Next is the Mossplym, giving off a more luxurious vibe compared to Trådnate. The Carrara marble base lends it a premium appearance. Its solid oak frame provides a soft, natural contrast to the cold stone base. Also featuring two opal white glass shades, the lamps illuminate the room. The lower shade is attached to an adjustable, brass-finished arm and is designed for readers.
Both lamps include dual light controls so you can individually operate the shades. The Trådnate is priced at $100 while the Mossplym is priced at $130 on Ikea. The lamps add a beautiful structural presence with luminosity to any residential area. The lamps will be displayed at the Milan Design Week 2026 exhibition at Spazio Maiocchi.
