IKEA is known for affordable furniture, but it is also growing in other areas like audio products. For years, IKEA worked with Sonos to make the SYMFONISK speaker range that combines good sound with stylish design. However, after eight years, this partnership ended unexpectedly. Now, IKEA seems to be focusing on portable Bluetooth speakers itself. Following the VAPPEBY speaker, it has now launched two new affordable and easy-to-use Bluetooth speakers. These are designed to conform nicely with your living room aesthetics.
The new range brings back features like connecting multiple speakers and Spotify Tap for quick music playback. The first speaker, called NATTBAD, was designed by Jon Eliason and looks like an old radio. It comes in yellow, pink, and black to match different interior styles. You can also connect several NATTBAD speakers to play the same music combined.
The NATTBAD portable speaker also features Spotify Tap, which makes it simple to play your favorite music. Just press the button to resume your music right where you left off and press it again to skip to the next track. This function also suggests new songs based on your listening history, making it easy for you to discover music.
The designer said that when designing the NATTBAD Bluetooth speaker, the goal was to mix the look of old radios with modern speaker features. He wanted it to be a social spot at home, where families can come together to listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks. The speaker is meant to combine stylish design with easy-to-use modern technology.”

IKEA is also introducing the BLOMPRAKT table speaker, which doubles as a table lamp. It features an angled top that allows the built-in light to create perfect ambiance. Available in beige, black, and blue, it is also available in stylish color options to complement different interiors.
With these new releases, IKEA wants to make simple, budget-friendly speakers that look good at home and are easy for everyone to use. The NATTBAD speaker costs $50 and is available on IKEA’s website, while the BLOMPRAKT speaker will be available starting in October.
IKEA is also entering the Matter-enabled smart home world with the launch of 20 new products that work with Matter, including the DIRIGERA smart home hub, which now works as a “Matter Controller,” which can control other compatible devices.
