Vintage-inspired décor has always been in trend, which might be the reason for the creation of Kokogol Maclock WB-8. It is a miniaturized version of the 1984 Apple Macintosh that serves as a desktop alarm clock. Not only its shape, but the clock also stands out with a retro large-pixel dot matrix display that is perfect to add a vintage vibe.
Measuring the size of a large coffee mug or a standard smartphone, this clock is a 1:3 scale replica of the original Mac. Its exact dimensions are approximately 3.15 x 3.58 x 4.41 inches (80 x 91 x 112 mm). It is a compact desktop alarm clock designed to fit neatly without taking up significant space.
The Macintosh changed personal computing for good. This table clock themed after the revolutionary Macintosh 128K features an LCD to show time, date, day of the week, and temperature. It offers three display modes: Time Mode, Calendar Mode, and Easter Egg Mode. You have to press the dedicated Clock key (or Mode button) to cycle through the display options.
The Time Mode displays the current time, date, weekday, temperature, and battery level on one screen. The Calendar Mode focuses on displaying the full date information, and lastly, the Easter Egg Mode features a classic Susan Kare Happy Mac icon (the classic Mac startup smiley face) as a nostalgic visual display.
When you want to adjust the time on this rechargeable desk alarm clock, you have to hold the mode button, use the arrow/up/down buttons to adjust hours/minutes, and confirm with from mode button. Additionally, the clock offers multiple alarm modes, which can be set using the alarm key and the knob. As a design feature of the 1984 Mac, this table clock comes to life by inserting a floppy disk on but it can also work without it, so you don’t have to worry even if you lose it. God damn, why would you do that in the first place? Anyhow!

The vintage digital clock offers gentle light in the morning, while the faint light is suitable for night, as it does not disturb your sleep. The brightness of the display can be adjusted using a knob located at the bottom left of the clock. Its 1200mAh battery can provide up to 60 days of battery life with the backlight off, the makers claim.
Complete with its reminiscent beige body, CRT-style screen, rainbow Apple logo, and floppy disk slot, Kokogol Maclock is a perfect tribute to the OG. It also recreates other classic details of the Macintosh, including the handle, heat sink of the case, the power button, brightness dial, and more. Tipping the scale at only 229 g, the clock blends nostalgia and design. It is available in limited-edition examples only and is not available in stores. If you are interested in the MacLock, it is listed for a discounted price of $30 (down from $50) on the Kokogol website. Don’t wait!
