Bladeless fans are popular for being safe and quiet, but the consumer electronics giant LG seems to be on a different move with the re-release of its iconic D-301 that brings back the classic blade fan with a fresh look. Revived to celebrate its 65th anniversary, the 2025 LG Goldstar fan combines retro style with modern features, offering both great design and the convenience needed for today’s homes. The original design has been re-imagined with a touch of newtro aesthetics.

You may not know that today’s LG started as Lak-Hui Chemical Co., Ltd. in 1947 and grew with Goldstar, Korea’s first electronics company, for the next decade. Goldstar made the D-301 fan, the first electric fan made in Korea, which soon became a symbol of modern living and national pride.

Seeing its historic value and classic design, LG decided to bring back this beloved fan for today’s lifestyle. The team found original D-301 fans still used by longtime owners. These well-kept fans helped them recreate the original look while updating the internal components for modern users.

This special edition blade fan retains the majority of the design details of the original D-301, including the curved frame and the engraved Goldstar crown logo. The internal components have been completely updated with a high-efficiency BLDC motor and a rechargeable battery that delivers up to 10 hours of cordless use.

Owing to the onboard BLDC motor, the fan provides quiet operation for different spaces, whether it is a bedroom or an office. There is also a rotary dial to control the fan settings. You can enjoy a gentle airflow with the ability to choose from three different wind speeds and set the direction of the breeze to match what feels most comfortable to you.

The beautiful curves and durability of the original D-301’s steel legs have been re-imagined for modern aesthetics. The 2025 LG Goldstar blade fan is not available for sale right now, but people are already appreciating its thoughtful design and nostalgic aesthetic. It is both a design statement and a practical companion for everyday life.
