The custom of having Christmas trees at homes is being followed for thousand of years now. Although, there are some differences in traditions around the world, but most of the festivities are similar. With Christmas and London Games Festival on its way, the London city is also ready to celebrate the festive season in an absolutely unique way. Inspired by the Line Wobbler game by Robin Baumgarten, the King’s Cross station in London got an all new festive installation, which is being described as the world’s first ever playable Christmas tree.

Just like the award-winning dungeon crawler game, this playable Christmas tree is also made from one-dimensional LED strips that respond to a remote controller. In simple words, it’s a spiral of 7000 LED lights that lets you play a minimalist video game as well. The player has to navigate obstacles and bring back enemies so as to reach the exit of the LED series at the top.
