Illumination in a small, enclosed space from a single source results in poor lighting. The Luminook is designed to light these enclosed spaces in your house. It is a floor-to-ceiling, shadow-free LED light strip that can be mounted around the door-frame inside your closet, tucked behind the door trim.

The LED light strip can be installed without any tools. When it detects that the door is open, the strip lights up and stays on until the door is closed again.

According to the company, the light strip works impeccably for all door sizes up to 72-inches wide. It provides shadow-free illumination, making it a better alternative to the traditional ceiling lighting found in most closets. Though it is an ideal light for all types of closets, you can also use the strip for accent lighting or to light up the pantry and kitchen cabinetry, the possibilities are endless.

You can ditch the cords, as the Luminook runs on a rechargeable battery pack. The company claims that with average use, users should expect about a month of battery life. There is an optional socket adapter to power the Luminook using an existing closet light socket.

Luminook control pack also includes an ambient light sensor that allows the users to tune color temperature or set it to automatically adjust for conditions such as time of day or ambient light already present in the room.

Luminook also has a do-not-disturb mode, which lets you switch off the light (when the closet is open) if you don’t want to disturb the others in the room.

Luminook creates a magical illumination and advanced sensors make it automatic and effortless. Currently, it is on Kickstarter for crowd-funding where it has been successfully funded. With 28 days still to go in the campaign (at the time of writing), early birds can pledge $59 and expect a Luminook to ship their way in October.
