British Columbia-based tiny house builder Summit Tiny Homes is known for its beautiful custom dwellings. I discovered the Magnolia tiny house by the manufacturer by chance, which is a 34-foot-long custom design. What piqued my interest in this micro-dwelling was its intriguing layout.

The Magnolia has a four-bedroom plan, which is weird given the interior is under 300 sq. ft. Well, the builder cleverly installed two loft bedrooms and one ground-floor bedroom with a bunk-bed system to offer four separate sleeping arrangements.

Built on a triple-axle trailer, the tiny house on wheels flaunts a stunning black exterior often broken with a myriad of big windows. The front door opens into the cozy living room with a stunning couch, which can double as an additional sleeping station. On the right side of the entrance, a sliding barn door conceals a generous bathroom.

The bathroom has a glass-enclosed shower cabin, a toilet, a big vanity sink, and an under-counter laundry machine. The sliding door has ladder rungs to access the loft bedroom overhead that can fit a queen-size bed easily.

A big kitchen is located in the middle of the house. The kitchen is outfitted with modern appliances, including a four-burner cooktop, an oven, a range hood, a deep sink, white countertops, floating shelves, under-counter cabinets, and a refrigerator tucked under the storage-integrated staircase opposite the cooking section. A breakfast bar is located adjacent to the living room. Half of the table is foldable, offering more space to move around, and can seat three people.

The staircase – with a big porthole window along the wall – leads to the master bedroom. The bedroom has a privacy wall in the form of cubbies, obstructing the view of the room from the space below. It can fit a king-size bed, and an entertainment unit, instead of storage cubbies since it is a customized model, and a couple of nightstands.

Under the loft bedroom, a bunk bed style arrangement is installed in the ground floor bedroom past the kitchen. It has queen beds neatly tucked above one another with a second level accessible via fixed ladder rungs.

If you are intrigued by the Magnolia tiny house as I was and want it to be your family home, you can contact the builder. Moreover, you can have plenty of customized alterations if you want.
