New Zealand-based Raglan Tiny Homes is an astute manufacturer catering to the tiny lifestyle with simple yet inviting abodes. The builder has now announced its most affordable build ever. Called Manu, this one-bedroom single-story tiny house amplifies spaciousness with its multifunctional features like a ceiling bed and a purpose-built covered deck addon.

Cleverly designed, this tiny house prioritizes reuniting one with nature given a uniform flow of a spacious deck and open interior. The Manu tiny house features a three-panel sliding front glass door that opens up into the single storied tiny house on wheels. Catering to all amenities on one floor is usually challenging, which is why most builders prefer a loft in their design, but with the Manu, Raglan has made a single-story design obtainable and fruitful.

A well-lit and ventilated (courtesy of bi-fold windows) living room greets you with U-shaped seating. The key element of the house, the lifting bed, makes this area immensely versatile. Sitting under the adjustable lifting bed, this area combines the lounger cum bed and the ceiling bed – holding midway – to form a flexible bunker bed together.

A resourceful and highly functional kitchen lies adjacent making it a seamless transition from the living room. The timber bench top and breakfast counter bar are connected via another ingenious addition – a dark generous bi-fold window. A decent fridge, storage cupboard, a 2 burner induction cooktop, and an oven make the cooking area a delightful place with all possible amenities.

A washing machine for laundry is well tucked under the large sink with storage racks sitting right adjacent to it. Manu tiny house allows you to make a mark with the luxury of dining either inside or outside on the deck.

The cavity slider door marks a separation between the kitchen and bathroom. Styled with a custom vanity, glass door rain shower, built-in fan, and a composting toilet, the bathroom is small but luxurious. As for Manu, this single-story tiny house is the most affordable in the Raglan’s range, perfect for a single owner or a couple. Pricing for the Manu starts at NZD $130,000 (just under $80,000) including the trailer.
