One of our main goals is to highlight top furniture design from around the world. Today, we present to you the Marea collection, a sculptural dining and lounge furniture by Alessandro Munge for Stellar Works, which will be shown at the Omotenashi installation during the FRAMING exhibition at 3daysofdesign 2025. The collection combines skilled craftsmanship with modern style, using smooth organic shapes, balanced structure, rich wood, and sleek metal for a quietly sophisticated look.

The collection’s name is inspired by the Trabocchi of Abruzzo, wooden platforms that extend over the Adriatic Sea, symbolizing a perfect balance of structure and suspension. According to the designer, “Nature’s quiet contrasts and timeless craftsmanship guided the creation of forms that are both fluid and structured,” resulting in pieces that blend elegance with architectural harmony.

The Marea collection includes side tables, dining tables, coffee tables, and a dining chair. Each piece is distinguished by its balanced form and refined craftsmanship that symbolize the spatial rhythm of the Omotenashi installation. It reflects the Japanese philosophy of thoughtful care and genuine hospitality.

The Marea collection is made for people who appreciate thoughtful design rather than following trends. Perfect for homes, hotels, or restaurants, these pieces look elegant and work well anywhere.

The seats create a sense of lightness, while the metal handles at the back add a refined, interactive detail. The gentle curve not only guides the body comfortably but also pleases the eye, while the upholstery is chosen for its warm, tactile feel as well as rich visual appeal.

Sustainability is also a focus of the Stellar Works’ installation. It is working with YKK Group to use recycled materials like POM dowels, zinc parts, and logo fabrics that are built into how new materials can support good design.
