Portuguese builder, Madeiguincho, is known for creating gorgeous timber tiny houses on wheels and treehouses. The manufacturer functions on the principles of “small is beautiful” and embraces nature to create an unforgettable experience. Keeping true to those values, Madeiguincho’s Meco tiny house is a minimalist mobile dwelling that is custom-designed for a couple and their two kids. Measuring 22-foot-long and 8-foot-wide, the Meco tiny house is outfitted with an off-grid system comprising a solar panel and rainwater harvesting systems, along with an energy-efficient layout.
Built on a double-axle trailer, the Meco is designed as a versatile space to accommodate comfort and fun. With an area of 258 square feet, the tiny house features the tell-tale wooden façade for which Madeiguincho is popular. Big steel round windows add a playful geometric contrast to their counterparts, keeping the interior bright and well-ventilated.
Big French front doors welcome into a two-bedroom layout, wherein one is located in the loft and the other takes over the traditional living room space on the main floor. The kitchen is opposite the entrance, acting as the central space of the house. It has a minimalist flair with generous countertops, which doubles as a work desk and dining table, a two-burner cooktop, an oven, a sink, and plenty of under-counter cabinets and overhead open shelves.

On the right side of the kitchen, an open closet space is designed to stash essentials, while providing room for a small refrigerator. A cranny is created next to the closet, where a couple of steps lead to a landing with another closet, a bookrack, and a ladder to the loft bedroom. It is a playful setup for kids to enjoy.
Past this area, a big bathroom space is designed in a partially open-floor layout. It includes a walk-in closet with a washbasin, a small bathtub room, a toilet, and space for a laundry setup. Above the bathroom, the loft bedroom provides privacy and protection through wooden slats. It can fit twin beds and a couple of storage solutions to store books and toys.

On the other end of the house, a small fireplace is placed next to the bedroom. The bedroom is elevated on a storage-integrated platform. It also serves as a social space and has a big round porthole window. To provide off-grid capabilities, the tiny house is outfitted with batteries, inverters, solar panels, and water boilers tucked underneath the bed platform.
