Mastering the art of nailing that perfect pizza at home every single time takes practice and patience. It also takes a great oven to help you achieve the best crust and bubbly cheesy top otherwise it involves a lot of guesswork. Meet the world’s smartest electric pizza oven, Model P, here to take the guesswork out of pizza-making. Unveiled at CES 2025 by outdoor brand Current Backyard, the Model P smart pizza oven features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity, a smart app, and a Pizza Build Calculator.

Deviating from its grill and griddle production, Current Backyard has ventured into oven-making with its smart pizza oven perfect for indoor and outdoor use. According to the company, the Model P can reach a maximum temperature of 850 degrees Fahrenheit (454 degrees Celsius). At this temperature, you can enjoy a Neapolitan-style pie within two minutes.

The interior of the smart pizza oven has top-mounted graphite and under-stone circular calrod elements along with an algorithm to ensure even heating so your pizza cooks uniformly. This also eliminates a step from traditional pizza making, rotating the pizza during cooking. The cordierite cooking stone helps achieve even doneness with a crispy crust.

Interestingly, the company claims that Model P can recover quickly between multiple pizzas to keep cooking. If that is to be believed, you can prepare three Neapolitan-style pizzas within 10 minutes, which will be an amazing treat for an outdoor party host. The Model P sends an alert to notify that it is ready to cook again after making one pie.

The smart pizza oven has five cook modes for different styles of pizza and other cooking usages. You can make a variety of pizzas including Neapolitan, New York, thin crust, and frozen pizza, and enjoy a broil function with high and low settings.

You get to choose these presets on the oven or with an app. The app features a Pizza Build Calculator to optimize cooking time and temperature revolving around a selected style and ingredients. This feature takes the amount of sauce, cheese, toppings, and the thickness of the dough into account. It also lets you choose the level of doneness for your pizza taking out the guesswork. You can pick if you want a crispy crust or just well done.

There is no word on the release date of the Model P smart pizza oven, but the company has indicated that it will cost $599 when it launches in the market. If you’d like to enjoy this smart oven in our backyard, you should get the accessory kits and an outdoor cart (priced at $399) to create a perfect pizzeria.
