Melbourne-based portable building manufacturer, Treehab Tiny Houses, is a family-owned business that creates environmentally sound and sustainable micro-dwellings. The Mountain Ash tiny house by the builder is a beautiful compact abode with an incredibly cozy layout where the loft bedroom features a skylight and a fireplace. Measuring 33 feet long, the Mountain Ash is made with sustainable, recycled insulation inside the house.

The mobile dwelling has multiple aluminum windows and numerous exterior cladding options for you to take your pick. The 272-square-foot interior space packs a snug living room, a full kitchen, a big bathroom, a spacious loft bedroom, and plenty of storage options.

The big French doors open into the open-floor interior. A cozy living room has a convertible couch, a wall-mounted table, a side table, and a wall-mounted television, all flanked by big windows. The picture windows keep the dwelling well-ventilated and filled with natural light.

The kitchen is adjacent and has a 9-foot-long wooden countertop, a four-burner cooktop, an oven, a range hood, a sink, a dishwasher, multiple overhead and under-counter cabinets, and a space for a refrigerator.

Past the kitchen, a residential-style bathroom is accessible via a pocket door. The bathroom has a fiberglass-enclosed shower stall, a toilet, a vanity sink, a closet, and a washer/dryer unit.

A storage-integrated L-shaped staircase leads to the spacious loft bedroom above the bathroom. The bedroom has a king-size mattress, wooden slats making up the privacy wall, a skylight, a wall-mounted television, and a wood-fired fireplace.

The Mountain Ash tiny house is equipped with natural timber accents, a neutral color palette, LED downlights, a smoke detector, and a 2.5kw reverse cycle heating and cooling system. Prices for the micro-dwelling start at AUD 139,990 (roughly $91,000).

“Tiny” obviously doesn’t refer to the price!! What about retirees on a fixed budget? These houses would be perfect but quite out-of-reach! Guess I’d have to settle for a warm blanket in the trees!

What is the expected arrival time once order is secured ? And once received, who will be responsible for setting up the units to be occupied?
