Do you ever dream of a place where sun rays gently cascade on the ground, piercing through the trees? Where the silence, peace, and nature co-exist? If yes, Mt Baker Cabin in Deming, Washington is perfect for a fall getaway for you. The place is surreal and offers an ideal escape for couples, solo travelers, and a family of four to enjoy time away from the bustling city life.

Tucked away in a pleasant forest landscape, this quaint cabin is elevated on stilts and offers a picturesque view of the Mt. Baker National Forest. The setting is beautiful with plenty of immersive activities such as a 4-foot-deep cedar hot tub with jets, a large deck view with dining, lounge, and grill, and many trails for hiking and exploring the nearby areas.

You walk up the stony walkway and see the towering structure greeting you with the cedar shingles exterior painted black. Decked with windows throughout, the indoor-outdoor connectivity is unparalleled. Inside, the Mt Baker Cabin is spacious with a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The space is warm and inviting with woodwork and multiple floor-to-ceiling windows. A couple of skylights flood in the natural light.

The first thing is the foyer space where you can set your shoes, hang your jackets, and store your stuff in a closet next to it. Little ahead is an exquisite vanity, displaying books, a vase, and a lamp for that homely ambiance. Then comes the living area that divides the space. On one side is the bedroom and the bathroom, while the other features the kitchen and the dining space. The living area accommodates a foldable couch that folds out to become a bed for two and a coffee table with books. Behind it is a wooden table, adding a raw element to the space.

The room is spacious enough and air-conditioned to lounge and sleep comfortably. There is a snug chair and a mid-century modern Malm propane fireplace in a corner. On the right side is a cozy dining area by the window and a book rack next to it.

You can easily access the kitchen from the dining space. The kitchen has a U-shaped layout with a countertop, a sink, wood cabinets, and drawers above and below the counter. Furthermore, the woodwork in the cabinets blends seamlessly with the aesthetic of this cabin. There is also a cooktop, a refrigerator, and a microwave if you want home-cooked meals during your stay.

The main space is immensely spacious and expansive. A luxurious bathroom enclosed by a pocket door is on the other side of the living area. Larger in space, the bathroom has an open shower, double sink vanity, a toilet, and a washer/dryer unit in a closet space.

Adjacent is the snuggest room in the vacation rental with multiple windows for you to fall asleep listening to the murmurs of the forest. The room has a queen-size bed, lights on both sides for an immersive atmosphere, and bedside tables to keep your phones and books within reach. There is a large wardrobe, a warm nook with a desk, and a wall-mounted TV.

Other cool features include an inviting back cedar deck, leading out from the living area. The deck is a perfect chilling spot with a dining table, chairs, a grill, and string lights. It is the spot to hang out with your family, friends, or significant other. Don’t worry if you are alone, a book in hand, a cup of coffee, and nature would be your ideal companion.

When you go down the spiral staircase to the lower portion of the deck, you find a cedar wood hot tub with a bench built into the deck. It is a great spot for enjoying some time out in nature after a long day of hiking and exploring. Notably, the visitors have full access to the entire cabin and can fully immerse themselves in the serenity of the beautiful Mt Baker Cabin. You can rent it on Airbnb at $450 for a night.
