There is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach when it comes to tiny house living. Some choose a perfect build with modern and lavish make while for others it may just be a cozy minimalistic retreat, just like a sanctuary. Falling in the latter category is Geoffrey who has built a stunning DIY tiny house for himself in the beautiful environs of France.

While cabins are notoriously dark and dingy, that’s certainly not the case with this mobile habitat. This tiny home is largely built representing a cabin style using natural and reclaimed materials. The most amazing feature of this mobile habitat is the ingenious storage ideas that are spread throughout the house. Cutting the cord with the traditional way of living, Geoffrey made the space available into a livable compact dwelling.

Upon entering the tiny house you get access to an affordable construction that displays great use of space. The house within largely creates different areas without partitions. A compactly knit kitchen with smart storage ways lets Geoffrey cook to his heart’s delight. The ceiling above the kitchen cooktop has more storage ideas.

A nearby living room acts as a comfortable retreating space within the house. Trap doors can be pulled out into foldable tables that are suitable enough for eight people to sit and eat. Big windows and doors here blur the separation line between inside and outside. The adjacent deck acts as an extension of the living room making the space as one big expanse.

The sleeping loft above the living room is compact, cozy and has a skylight with some storage. Uniquely, the loft has a running water tap in it to save Geoffrey from those extra kitchen trips at night. The mobile habitat has a compact bathroom that is perfect for one person. The house is covered by Living Big in a Tiny House and is absolutely packed with clever multifunctional design. You can get the house at a price of US$20,000.
