The Stargaze EVO by Nemo Equipment is a unique camping chair that lets you have the comfort of a hammock. Upgrading its design, the brand has introduced Stargaze EVO-X that carries forward the beloved swinging and reclining features of the Stargaze chair while making the setup process super easy and fast. There are no steps for assembly, all you need is to take out the chair from its case and unfurl the frame in just one motion.
Stargaze EVO-X is made from an X-style steel frame that sets up in seconds by simply pulling the upper poles outward with both hands. The frame automatically expands out and takes a chair-like form.
The base has six feet for better ground contact and two raised bars for extra support on soft surfaces. This way, the EVO-X will be more stable on the ground while the added base surface area will help spread the weight more evenly.
The chair auto-reclines to the preferred sitting angle while tensioned straps support a deep reclining angle to offer a full view of the night sky. Furthermore, padded headrests and enhanced seat designs provide additional support and cushioning for a comfortable sitting experience.
Equipped with six points of contact and a flared foot geometry, the camping chair ensures stability when you place it on the ground. The seat freely swings and reclines to the user’s preference, and it neatly packs away in an included roll-top carrying case for easy transport.

The packed dimensions of the chair are 40 x 10.5 x 8.5 inches, while the open dimensions are 29 x 37 x 41 inches. One noticeable feature is that the EVO-X camping chair does not pack as small and lightweight as the original Stargaze. It is a bit bigger when folded in a bag, which means it will take up more space in the car or RV. Its weight is 14.12 lbs (6.68 Kg), and the weight capacity is 300 lbs.
Available in five colors, each unit includes a padded carrying case with an adjustable shoulder strap. The pricing starts from $170 on the official Nemo Equipment website.
