Nissan’s all-new Primastar FlexVan features a modular seating system on rails, allowing you to configure it for different uses. Designed in collaboration with the company Hermann Schnierle GmbH, it is designed to transform between a business van, passenger van, cargo van, and a basic sleeper camper. The modular functionality is achieved by individually adjustable seats in the second and third rows, which can be removed or added as per particular needs for seating or cargo.
The Nissan Primastar FlexVan has a flexible seating system that can be adjusted according to the number of travelers. You can use it as a two-, three-, four-, five-, six-, seven-, or eight-seater, just by adding seats on the rail. When you have removed all the rear seats, it becomes perfect for transporting cargo.
Nissan offers two types of seats to match different needs. The first option is the “Flexus2” seats that don’t include a reclining feature and are ideal for taxi service or school transport. The second seating is the Relax version of individual seats that can be completely flattened to create a sleeping surface of up to 1.90 x 1.32 meters (6.2 x 4.33 ft). You can install up to three individual seats in the rear rows, either facing forward or rearward.
If you opt for a swivel base for the driver and front passenger seats, along with a folding handbrake lever, the interior layout turns into a “conference” configuration. Just add an optional table, and you are ready for meetings or having a snack with four people. The “conference” configuration can also be set up in the second and third rows.

Nissan is offering various additional useful accessories for the Primastar FlexVan, including a business table with cup holders, and an electrically extendable step for the right sliding door, and a wheelchair ramp or lift.
The Primastar FlexVan is an all-in-one van that serves as a business van, family car, or transporter with its swappable and foldable seats. It can even be a basic sleeper camper, but there is no option for a kitchen and bathroom. The van is available from €54,121 (about $63,500), and each Primastar base vehicle gets a five-year, Europe-wide warranty up to 160,000 kilometers, an additional benefit.
