The company has recently launched Monolith x Aluminum, a compact yet powerful portable speaker that will redefine the on-the-go listening experience.
True to its ethos of sustainability, Nocs Design’s latest creation is made of a single block of aluminum, bypassing recycled plastics entirely. Also, every part of the speaker is replaceable and is designed for lifetime use. As a nod to minimalist design, the speaker body even sans any buttons, dials, or switches and boasts a flat aluminum shell that hosts a couple of woofers, two drivers, and a tweeter respectively.
“The challenge was to strip away all that is unnecessary and devote time to achieve the perfect symmetry in the positioning of the drivers. There are no logos, no frills—only the sleek yet refined appearance of solid aluminum remains,” Daniel points out.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Monolith boasts impeccable audio performance. “The speaker promises high-fidelity sound and supports Bluetooth 5.3, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and the proprietary Nocs Design music app, with additional streaming services slated for future integration,” Daniel adds.
Though a monolith sounds like a name associated with a huge speaker, the Nocs Design’s latest creation defies expectations with its portable form factor, easily slipping into a backpack. Additionally, the Monolith Aluminum has a 5,000mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery that offers a 15-hour playing time on a single recharge. So taking the boombox outside shouldn’t be much of a problem.

With a hefty price tag of $1,000, the Monolith x Aluminium Speaker is available for preorder today and will be available in Natural Silver and Matte Black finish with shipping starting in November.
