The dog pad is made from double-sided TPU fabric, commonly used in high-end dive backpacks and dry bags from brands like YETI, and features a corrosion-resistant YKK zipper. Its waterproof properties prevent water from seeping in and the rubber-like smooth surface does not trap dirt or moisture. The special fabric can be quickly rinsed off to clean mud, blood stains, or sand easily.
With an inflatable structure, the dog pad can be folded up into a small package weighing less than one kg (Medium size) that can be easily stored in the backpack. The air valve features a universal design, making it compatible with most inflatable devices including electric and foot pumps. There are separate inflating and deflating ports for ease of use.
The rear part of the AirPad has a contoured area with back support to facilitate the common, curled-up sleeping position of dogs. Each part of the inflatable bladder consists of independent air chambers that prevent air circulation and effectively reduce heat loss in cold environments. Similarly, the scorching sand will also not be able to pass the heat from the bottom.
Interestingly, the inflatable bladder comes with a separate, removable inner pad on top, which prevents it from being punctured by dog claws. Another removable outer pad protects it from rocks and thorns in the natural environment. Both the inner and outer pads can be removed for cleaning and replacement. If the protective layer has been damaged, it can be swapped individually without needing to replace the entire air pad.
The dog pad has fixed ropes on both sides to attach it to camping tent poles. It can be anchored to the ground with steel stakes, preventing it from blowing away and also keeping the dog within the area. Additionally, the AirPad can also be secured to car seats with a seatbelt.
