Tennessee-based modular home builder Wind River Tiny Homes is the creator of gorgeous mobile dwellings and the petite structure of Penobscot Tiny House is one of the coziest models by the company. Named after the eponymous river and ancient tribe, the Penobscot tiny house on wheels is a teeny-tiny dwelling with bare necessities and is the perfect personification of ancient tribal people who foraged for food and migrated often.

The Penobscot tiny house is modeled after the coastal cottages of Maine, with its tranquil ocean blue and cedar wood exterior. It features a two-foot front porch with a post and beam.

Completing the coastal charm, a white front door opens into a minimalist and compact interior. Tongue and groove interior walls are painted white top beautifully contrasting the natural red oak flooring and natural pine ceiling. The interior is dotted with flush mounted LED lighting and Mason jar wall sconces to provide mood lighting.

A living area is the first thing you see upon entering with enough space for a convertible couch. A butcher block fold-away table is installed next to a video to be used as a dining table or workstation. Overhead, an opal glass ceiling fan offers reprieve in hotter months.

Past the living room is a compact kitchen. It has shaker-style cabinets, an integrated electric cooktop, a stainless steel sink, plenty of wooden countertops, open shelving, a small refrigerator, and an oven. There is even a big closet space in the kitchen, which can be used to store cooking essentials.

Next is a bathroom behind a sliding door past the kitchen. It has a shower, toilet and a vanity sink. Accessible via a typical ladder, the loft bedroom is located above the kitchen and bathroom. It has plenty of space for a queen-size bed and a couple of nightstands.

Catering to the bare necessities of life, the Penobscot tiny house embodies the downsized lifestyle in a true sense. It is perfect for solo travelers or a travel-loving couple.
