Bold is beautiful – this dictum is certainly upheld by the series of vivacious lifeguard huts that speckle the beaches of Miami. Ranging from the utterly vibrant to the downright bohemian, the unique beach structures were captured in photographs by Paris-based Léo Caillard (the very same guy who brought us hipster Greek statues). Named as the ‘Miami Houses’, the buildings was photographed around the shores of Miami Beach and South Beach, by using similar background and lighting effect. As for the structures themselves, they hark back to the eclectic architectural mix of Miami, which tends to fuse colorful flamboyance with some European influenced Art Deco. However, the true novelty of the designs lies in their distinct facade ‘arts’, thus evoking the ambiance of sheer creativity for each particular beach section.
