Ring Bookshelf designed by Rama Akel of Kawn Designs is a functional piece of furniture that also serves as artwork. Inspired by Da Vinci’s Golden Ratio, it can be placed against a wall or used to beautifully separate two spaces. The bookshelf adds beauty, function and value to your living space.
It is a round freestanding bookshelf with five shelves to keep books and other items securely. A metal sheet is manually bent into a perfect ring forming the main structure that is affixed to a solid wooden base for stability.
The backdrop completing the Golden Ratio shape is created with thin brass rods fixed to the wooden base. The rods go through holes in three to five shelves, while some of these do not reach the top and are bent to hold the shelves.
Ring Bookshelf is a statement piece that blends with space and provides seamless functionality to the user. It can be purchased for about $1,552 from Kawn Designs.
