To be honest, I was bored of cliché designs and selfsame layouts in the tiny house industry, and you have to admit, so were you. Every second mobile home on the face of the earth featured a bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, an outdoor shower, and a bathtub. The movement desperately needed a breath of fresh air, and Texas-based tiny home maker Indigo River Tiny Homes did that with its latest creation the Rosalind tiny house on wheels.

Breaking away from the humdrum, the Texas-based tiny house firm offers innovative features in the 10-foot-wide micro-dwelling that prioritize comfort and luxury. To put that into perspective, the Rosalind tiny house has two spa-like bathrooms, a couple of full-height bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen, and a spacious living room. We’ve seen a few mobile homes with an additional shower on the outside but to accouter two full-size bathrooms is indeed praiseworthy.

As incredible as the tiny home is on the inside, it’s equally quirky on the outside. Built on a quad-axle trailer, the Rosalind measures 42 feet in length with a four-foot bump out on each side. The firm’s earlier builds like the Farrell and Nana Nest impressed us with their configuration, but the Texas-based maker seems to have upped the ante with the Rosalind tiny home and went beyond size to the realm of comfort and luxuriousness.

The tiny house flaunts board and batten siding alongside LP smart siding on the exterior. In addition to the two-tone exterior, the tiny house builder outfitted a storage shed on the rear. Other notable features include a myriad of windows that allow light and air to enter the home. Access to the home is gained by a ‘storm door’ that serves as a protective second layer and guards your main door from adverse weather conditions. While I won’t dive into the nitty-gritty details, it’s worth mentioning that the tiny house storm door features a hidden screen that can be pulled down when required.

The main space includes a living room that comes equipped with a sofa facing a television. Other features include a fold-up table, which can be utilized as dining furniture or worktop, depending on requirement.

Nearby is the kitchen filled with numerous appliances including a four-burner cooktop, dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and garbage disposal. There is no dearth of storage in the tiny home as makers have incorporated storage cubbies inside the two storage-integrated staircases leading to the loft bedrooms of the house.

But before we get there, let’s discuss the bathrooms that occupy the ends of the home. The bathrooms are the standout features of the Rosalind tiny home. As aforementioned, there are two spa-like bathrooms inside the Rosalind, a departure from the usual single-bathroom setup seen in many tiny homes. This addition not only adds convenience to dwellers but also elevates the living experience.

Speaking of luxury, the bathroom next to the kitchen features a toilet, a vanity with two sinks, and a Japanese soaking tub. The other bathroom next to the living room functions as a proper laundry area and features a flushing toilet, a custom-made sink, and a glass-enclosed shower.

The Rosalind tiny house includes two loft bedrooms. Sleeping four people combined, both bedrooms are reached via a storage-integrated staircase, feature a king-size bed, and numerous cupboards to enhance optimal storage. There is no word on the price but I estimate the luxurious tiny home to cost well above $200K.
