Making soft drinks at home is getting popular, and that is why Smeg has launched its first-ever countertop soda maker to counter the biggest contender, SodaStream. Like most soda makers, it lets you add customizable fizz to still water, but it stands out with an elegant design, as expected from the brand. From homemade sodas to elegant spritzes, you can prepare many drinks without any electricity, right on your kitchen countertop or bar cart.

The soda maker comes in four timeless colors – white, emerald green, storm blue, and black – all featuring a matte finish for a premium look. It features smooth lines and a clean, compact design that fits seamlessly into any space. This water carbonator is compatible with standard 400-425g/60L- 80L screw-in CO2 cylinders.

The device features an easy-to-use carbonation control dial that lets you adjust the CO₂ level to create the perfect fizz. Whether you want a light sparkle or full fizz for mocktails, cocktails, or everyday water, it can do it all for you.

Reflecting Smeg’s sustainable vision, each unit comes with a reusable 800-ml bottle made of Tritan Renew, an innovative plastic with 50 percent recycled content. The bottle attaches to the device to fizz up the water and can be reused. There is also an onboard drip tray with a magnetic closure, which catches any excess water or spills to keep the countertop mess-free.

As noted by T3, the Smeg Soda Maker can make up to 60 liters of sparkling water with a single cylinder. It is listed for AUD 220 (approximately $140) on Smeg’s Australian website.
