Texas-based outdoor lifestyle brand Solo Stove is best known for its smokeless fire pits, and it even made our list of the best ones last year. Now, the company is branching out into portable cooling solutions, and its latest launch is turning heads for its dual-purpose design. The all-new Solo Stove Windchill 47 Cooler not only keeps your food and drinks cold, but it also cools you. With built-in ice storage, a portable air conditioner, and an integrated misting feature, it is a game-changer for outdoor adventures in the summer.
The 47-quart cooler features a rugged hard-shell body built to withstand the outdoors. Its foam insulation, freezer-grade gasket, and airtight seal help keep ice cold for up to six days in standard cooler mode. When used as an air conditioner, it draws in ambient air, cools it by passing it over ice and water, and then releases a dry, refreshing breeze through a heat exchanger and three-speed fan.
You can choose from three cooling modes depending on your needs and place. The Max Cool Mode delivers a powerful blast of chilled air through the heat exchanger, the Mist Mode releases a fine, refreshing mist, and the Eco Mode provides quiet fan-only cooling that uses the ice inside to gently lower the temperature. For even more relief from heat, there is also a built-in misting function that utilizes melted ice for added cooling.
The new Solo Windchill 47 AC Cooler can keep up to 65 cans ice-cold while delivering over three hours of active cooling on a single charge. It runs on a rechargeable battery and can also be plugged into wall power when available. With the 10Ah battery, it offers up to 9.5 hours of runtime in Eco Mode, while the 17Ah option extends the capacity to 16.2 hours. The cooler also features USB-C and USB-A ports, letting you charge your phone, speaker, or tablet.

A built-in kickstand lid adds convenience for loading and organizing contents. It also includes accessories such as an integrated bottle opener, rear-facing drain for quick and easy water release, single and double drink holders, a side table, and more to make it a versatile companion for outdoor adventures.
Available in two colors, the Solo Stove Windchill 47 cooler can be pre-ordered now for $649.99. The cooler is slated to ship in mid-June 2025.
