Before its partnership with TCL slated for next year, Sony has launched BRAVIA 3 II for 2026, packed with gamer-friendly features. It is a mid-tier 4K HDR LED Google TV, featuring an XR Processor for intelligent picture optimization and supports 4K 120Hz for lag-free gaming sessions. All feature direct-lit LED LCD panels with Frame Dimming, unlike premium models with local dimming. Sony has launched this TV in sizes up to 100 inches for a broader clientele.

Sony has put all the game controls in one place, where you can easily adjust game status, settings, and assist functions. You can also use the built-in app to stream games from a console to an internet-connected TV in another location, like your friend’s house. The TV automatically switches to Game Mode with PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles to minimize lag and maximize responsiveness, and switches back to Standard Mode when watching movies.

The most exciting feature for gamers is the inclusion of four HDMI 2.1 ports, which have been missing from Sony TVs. This inclusion ensures a thrilling gaming experience with support for features like VRR, ALLM, and SBTM. It also includes Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode for PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro.

Equipped with an XR Processor found in Sony’s premium TVs and an XR Triluminos Pro display, the BRAVIA 3 II delivers a wide color gamut. The XR Processor also uses AI scene recognition to optimize color, contrast, and clarity, while XR Clear Image AI intelligently upscales content to 4K.

This TV supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X for a more immersive viewing experience. It also delivers enhanced picture and sound quality with Pure Stream technology and IMAX Enhanced movies on Sony Pictures Core. Running on Google TV, it features Gemini AI integration for content recommendations and voice control.

The TV comes with an X-Balanced speaker with a uniquely shaped diaphragm that reduces distortion for improved sound resolution. With an integrated UI, soundbar sound settings automatically appear on the BRAVIA Quick Settings menu.

Sony has improved its remote with feedback from end users. It now features bigger buttons, distinct shapes, and clearer spacing for easier navigation by touch. There is also a new wave-textured back for improved grip and comfort, while the Remote Finder function helps locate the remote. You can also control features such as sound field and volume using just the TV remote.

Sony has also launched another new model named Bravia 2 II, which is being touted as Sony’s most affordable option by FlatpanelsHD. It offers 4K resolution similar to Bravia 3 II, but is limited to a 60Hz LCD panel. The BRAVIA 2 II will be available in sizes ranging from 43-inch to 75-inch class. Sony says, “It is a great starting point for anyone looking to get an exceptional viewing experience.”

As of availability, both the BRAVIA 3 II and BRAVIA 2 II will be available for pre-order, starting from 13th May 2026 through Sony and other authorized retailers. The pricing for BRAVIA 3 II starts from $600 for the 45-inch model, while there is no official detail about the pricing of BRAVIA 2 II yet.
