Sony Interactive Entertainment has great news for gaming fans. The company has just unveiled its Pulse Elevate wireless speakers at the State of Play event, which are being marketed as its latest audio accessory for PlayStation setups. The speakers bring immersive sound and voice chat to PlayStation, PC, and mobile gaming. These speakers build upon the immersive next-level gaming audio experience of Pulse Elite wireless headset and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds, which combine planar magnetic drivers and PlayStation Link technology.
Each Pulse Elevate speaker uses studio-quality planar magnetic drivers to deliver clear, lifelike sound across a wide frequency range. This allows players to hear games just as the developers intended, whether on PS5, PC, Mac, or PlayStation Portal. The speakers also feature built-in woofers for rich, deep bass, elevating the overall sound experience.
Pulse Elevate wireless speakers also bring clear voice chat to your desktop gaming with a built-in microphone on the right speaker. The mic utilizes AI to reduce background noise, allowing your voice to come through clearly without the need for a headset, enabling better communication with fellow players during gaming.
The portable speaker uses PlayStation Link technology for fast, lag-free sound on PS5, PC, Mac, and PlayStation Portal. As pointed out by some blogs, these speakers do require a USB dongle (the “PlayStation Link USB adapter”) for low‑latency wireless connection to devices like a PC or a Mac. However, devices with native PlayStation Link support (e.g., the PS Portal remote player) might not require the dongle. It also works with Bluetooth devices, allowing you to listen to game audio on Pulse Elevate while using Bluetooth for music or chat. The speakers also come with a USB-C PlayStation Link adapter for easy connection.
Another cool feature is the built-in rechargeable battery that allows you to take the speakers with you when gaming on the go, using PlayStation Portal or your phone. When you are back at your desk, just place them on the charging docks to power up and continue playing without interruptions.

The speakers have built-in volume controls and can be placed horizontally or vertically as per the alignment of your desk. You can also customize sound settings like EQ, sidetone, volume, and mic mute on their PS5 or PC through the system menus.
Pulse Elevate is Sony’s first wireless speaker for gaming, designed to work easily with PS5, PC, or Mac setups. It delivers clear, lifelike sound, ultra-low latency, and connects wirelessly with PlayStation Link or Bluetooth so you can use it at your desk or on the go with PlayStation Portal or your phone. These gaming-focused speakers are slated to launch in 2026 and will be available in Midnight Black and White color options.
The recent launch of PlayStation Pulse Elevate speakers seems like a strategic move to gain relevance in the PC market by expanding their gaming ecosystem beyond consoles and offering a dedicated, high-quality audio experience with its proprietary PlayStation Link technology.
