The Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro made its grand debut at IFA 2025, and it’s already being called one of the boldest takes on portable cinema yet. Think of it less as a projector and more as a rolling entertainment hub. It looks like a cabinet on wheels but hides some seriously advanced tech inside. With a retractable handle and a sturdy set of wheels, this 72-pound (32.6 kg) beast is surprisingly easy to move around, making it just as suited for a backyard movie night as it is for a big indoor event.

At the heart of the X1 Pro is its stunning triple-laser 4K projection system, which blasts out an impressive 3,500 ANSI lumens. That means clear, vibrant images, even if you’re not sitting in a pitch-black room. It can scale up to a 300-inch screen, offering cinema-level visuals in a format that fits wherever you take it. Features like auto-focus, auto-keystone, and a clever micro-gimbal design make setup quick and painless, so you spend less time adjusting the angles and more time actually watching.

But what truly sets this machine apart is the audio. Built into its frame is a 7.1.4 surround system with detachable wireless speakers and a floating subwoofer, designed to deliver immersive, room-shaking sound no matter where you place it. Dolby Atmos support takes things even further, giving you a layered, cinematic feel. Since the satellite speakers can work wirelessly at low latency, you get flexible placement without running cables all over the place.

Despite all the high-end projection and sound features, Anker didn’t stop there. The Nebula X1 Pro has IP43 resistance against dust and light rain, which means it’s actually safe to roll out for an open-air screening even if the weather isn’t perfect. It even comes with karaoke-ready microphones for when the party shifts gears. It is less of a projector and more of a full-on portable entertainment system, something you’d just as easily take to a family gathering as you would to a camping trip.

The Nebula X1 Pro projector will launch on Kickstarter starting September 22, 2025, with early pledges priced around $2,999 before it heads toward a retail tag of around $4,000–$5,000. Backers should start receiving units by November, with general availability planned for March 2026.

Find it a bit pricey? We would agree with you. But considering you’re getting a cinema-class projector, a Dolby Atmos surround system, and outdoor-ready durability all in one rolling package, it is hard not to see this as one of the most exciting entertainment devices to come out of IFA this year.
