Before you prepare for your next adventure in the wild, you want to ensure you have a portable grill that can withstand nature’s challenges and whip up tasty, camp-ready dishes. Whether in a car, hitting off-roads in a camper trailer, or camping high up the mountain, you’ll need a compact, lightweight grill that’s easy to carry along for effortless meals. That’s where the StoviGo foldable grill comes in.

I stumbled across the portable grill on Kickstarter, and it’s already got me planning my next outdoor getaway. I am stoked about this outdoor gear because the grill boasts an easy-to-use design and is lightweight. Most campers, like me, prefer simple and practical gear, and StoviGo fits the bill.

Weighing just 15.87 lbs (7.1 kg), the grill folds like a briefcase and slips easily into your car trunk or camping pack. When you’re ready to cook, it pops open in about two minutes into a sturdy little cooking station.

As evident in the video below, the grill has enough space to roast a small whole chicken or bake a 10-inch pizza, perfect for feeding your crew after hiking or chilling by the lake. One aspect that separates StoviGo from portable stoves in the market is its dependence on compact propane canisters, so one need not worry about hooking it to an electric outlet.

Unlike typical portable grills, StoviGo boasts a top-mounted far-infrared convection heating system that delivers consistent, high-heat performance with oven temps reaching up to 900°F and a top griddle surface that maxes out at 480°F. The grill also features a built-in thermometer and adjustable racks, making cooking easier.

Crafted from food-grade stainless steel, the StoviGo is built to endure harsh environments. This durability is perfect for those fed up with cheap grills that corrode after a single season. Overall, the griddle top is versatile, handling everything from eggs and pancakes to burgers and veggies, while the enclosed oven space allows for baking or broiling. Its dual-zone cooking lets you whip complete meals without juggling extra stoves or gear.

As per the maker, StoviGo cuts smoke by 90 percent compared to regular grills. While I cannot testify to the claims yet, I would appreciate a cleaner, greener approach to cooking that lets me focus on the food without worrying about its environmental impact.

Right now, you can grab a StoviGo foldable grill for $300 on Kickstarter (which is 50 percent less than its future retail price of $600). For a grill this portable and powerful, this price feels like a steal.
