Are you afraid of heights? If yes, I’d recommend you stop reading the article right away. Because, the Airbnb, I’d be discussing today is not for fainthearted and coward. And, if you feel offended reading this, it will be better for you to hide your apprehension, show some courage and nut up for the moment, and book this rental right way to permanently seal my mouth.

As I teased in the title, it’s suspended from the ridgeline, but that’s not the full picture. The Airbnb rental is actually bolted high above the canopy on the side of the cliff in the Kentucky Red River Gorge region of the USA. This is what makes your stay even more adventurous. Dubbed Cliff Dweller, it allows you to live among rocks, encapsulate the gorgeous views, feel the adventure and embrace the solitude.

To have access to this hanging Airbnb rental, you have to climb hundreds of stairs. Both, the home and suspension staircase lie amid thousand trees and provide you with a fresh breeze with every step you take.

As you reach the location, you’d explore a small cabin with living area, kitchen, bathroom and a loft sleeping area to sleep four to six people. There are two sleeping areas actually, one in the main house and the other in the upper cabin built a few feet above the main structure.

From kitchen to bedroom, the place is accoutered with beautiful wood work. The kitchen includes table, benches and chairs alongside every necessary item required for a comfortable stay. There are big windows everywhere that allow natural light to pass in. Moving to the loft, it features a queen-size bed surrounded by big windows.

In case you plan on to bring your entire family for an adventurous vacation, there is a separate suspended master bedroom for them to sleep that can be accessed via a spiral staircase. It features a queen-sized bed and offers incredible views of the nature outside.

If you are not happy with the views inside and want your experience to be more indelible, take one last set of steps to reach the viewing deck which offers breathtaking views of the entire location. Overall, it is an epic place anchored to sandstone cliffs, among the company of trees.

You can book this unique vacation rental and experience the wonderful views alongside appreciating the marvelous architecture of the house. It doesn’t matter you are acrophobic or not, it will surely be once-in-a-lifetime experience.

As you’d expect, the night stay is costly, and you have to spend  $560 per night on Airbnb but considering the location and the experience, it’s worth the fork out.
