Founded by architect Pål Lunder in 2004, Norwegian brand Fjordfiesta is dedicated to reviving and celebrating Scandinavian design heritage. In its latest move, Fjordfiesta expands the furniture collection of renowned Norwegian architect Sverre Fehn with two new pieces: the Norrköping 01 stool and the Norrköping 02 table. Both pieces embody Fehn’s signature style that combines timeless design with practical functionality.
The Sverre Fehn Norrköping 01 stool and Norrköping 02 table are understated yet finely detailed. Both are crafted from locally sourced Norwegian pine, harvested just a few hours from Fjordfiesta’s factory in Dokka. The furniture is manufactured at the factory, where skilled craftsmen ensure a high-quality result. When not being used as seats at the table, the stools double as small tables.
Both the Norrköping 01 stool and Norrköping 02 table were originally designed for Villa Norrköping in Sweden as part of a housing exhibition envisioning the Scandinavian home of the future. The house’s floor plan is shaped like a Greek cross, with the kitchen and bathrooms positioned at its center. This architectural concept is echoed in the design of the stool and table, where the construction and detailing emphasize the core structure of each piece.
Much like his architecture, Sverre Fehn’s furniture collection is rooted in a strong structural concept that gives each piece its own presence and poetic character. Throughout his career, Fehn designed furniture specifically for individual homes and pavilions, but most of these unique pieces remain undiscovered by the public. Now, a carefully curated selection of his furniture is being made available to a wider audience for the first time.
