From developing simple button-press automators and automated curtain openers to manufacturing advanced self-emptying robot vacuums and pet-safe air purifiers, SwitchBot has not only risen in popularity but also become a leader in the smart home sector. Recently, the smart home gadget manufacturing company has shifted focus toward creating what it claims is a “general-purpose humanoid robot.”
Slated to be showcased at CES 2026, this is the company’s first-ever humanoid “created to try eliminating housework itself.” Dubbed Onero H1, the humanoid robot leverages advanced embodied AI technology, featuring 22 degrees of freedom, along with an onboard OmniSense VLA model. According to company spokespeople at CES, “the Onero H1 is engineered to continuously learn, adapt, and integrate seamlessly with SwitchBot’s broader lineup of specialized robots.”
The robot relies on fused visual sensing, depth perception, and touch feedback to gain a deeper awareness of objects, locations, forms, and interactions, essential for managing touch-heavy home duties.
Unlike conventional humanoid forms seen previously, the Onero skips legs entirely, opting instead for a wheeled flat base similar to the company’s S10 vacuum model, allowing it to glide smoothly around rooms. Though no legs, the humanoid features robotic arms to aid in various domestic activities and integrates effortlessly with the SwitchBot ecosystem.

All these features combined allow Onero to perform routine tasks like grabbing items, pushing objects, opening doors or drawers, and tidying up, while enabling adaptation to diverse chores and environments. The company has announced that the Onero H1, along with its detachable robotic arms A1, will soon be available for pre-order on the official SwitchBot website. Besides displaying its brand new humanoid, SwitchBot is also exhibiting its smart lock series, weather station, and OBBOTO.
