Gradient lamps are becoming popular, with brands like Philips Hue, Govee, and Nanoleaf leading the way. SwitchBot has also entered this space with its new Matter-enabled Light Series, which supports Matter-over-Wi-Fi for easy, flexible control. You can use voice commands through Apple Home, Alexa, Google Assistant, and more. The standout feature is that all these lights offer local control without needing an internet connection.
The collection includes both RGB and RGBIC lamp series, which differ in how they display colors and effects. RGB lamps show one color across the entire lamp at a time, while RGBIC lamps can display multiple colors at once on different segments, enabling dynamic effects like gradients and flowing patterns. Both of them sync with music, making them perfect for parties or movie nights.
The RGBIC series includes three products: the RGBICWW Floor Lamp, RGBICWW Strip Light, and RGBIC Neon Wire Rope Light (available in North America only). These lamps offer advanced multi-color effects that regular RGB lights cannot offer. Each supports 16 million colors, 26 preset scenes, 8 lighting modes, and lasts up to 25,000 hours.
First, the SwitchBot RGBICWW Floor Lamp has RGB, cool white, and warm white lighting with separate segment control for colorful effects or soft lighting moods. It stands 1.35 meters tall and can be used vertically or horizontally. The lamp spreads light with a 100-degree angle for a balanced coverage in any setup.
Next is the SwitchBot RGBICWW Strip Light that uses similar lighting tech to create stunning effects. It is a 5-meter strip that you can cut every 12.5 cm to fit your space. With a PU coating and an IP44 waterproof rating, it can handle some moisture and is suitable for both indoor and slightly damp areas outside.
Lastly, the SwitchBot RGBIC Neon Wire Rope Light has a built-in wire frame and independent segment control. Measuring 2 meters long, you can bend and shape it freely to create custom designs without needing extra accessories.
The RGB series includes two models: the Floor Lamp and LED Strip Light 3 – both featuring RGB, Cool White, and Warm White lighting. They offer smooth dimming, color adjustments, 16 preset themes, and 5 lighting effects. The difference is that it only shows one color on the whole lamp at a time, unlike the previous ones.
The SwitchBot RGBIC Floor Lamp is priced at $90, while the RGBICWW Strip Light and Neon Wire Rope Light each cost $50. The SwitchBot RGB lineup is similarly priced, with the Floor Lamp at $85 and the LED Strip Light 3 at $45.
