As I see it, entertainment is on the move indoors and beyond impressive outdoors. Leading the charge in the changing landscape is Chinese smart TV brand Sylvox, the undisputed king of outdoor TVs. Known for building weatherproof, robust, high-brightness televisions designed for outdoor use, Sylvox TVs have long proven their ability to withstand rain, sun, and intense ambient light.
Now, at IFA Berlin, the company is scaling up this viewing experience, with its new outdoor TV portfolio, in three dimensions. Outdoor spaces are getting a cinematic technology upgrade; backyard gaming is becoming as seamless as in a dedicated den; and TVs are becoming more mobile, easily moving with you from the kitchen to the living room.
These TV revelations aren’t simply about technology. Sylvox aims to bring people together, where families can enjoy a Sunday afternoon movie on the patio or when friends gather for a game day, creating an ideal game scene in the backyard without anyone complaining of being couch potatoes.
Sylvox has unveiled three new TV series, vis-à-vis Cinema Series, Gaming Series, and mobile Rolling Series. Two of these are in the outdoor segment – one for cinema lovers and the other for gamers – while the third is for indoor media consumption on the move. The Cinema series TVs scale up things with Helio OLED technology, and the Gaming series gets 120Hz screen refresh rates for watching sports and gaming outdoors. Rolling series is a versatile, flexible way of media enjoyment indoors. Let’s check out the features of each of these in a little detail:
Sylvox Cinema Series starting at €3,299 ($3,850)

The new TV models in the Cinema series feature Helio QLED displays for peak brightness ranging between 2,000 to 5,000 nits, Sylvox notes in its press information with us. This is an immense upscale from close to 1,500 nits that the company’s own earlier outdoor TVs have boasted. Besides the unfathomable bright screens, these TVs, available in various sizes from 55 to 110 inches, are rated all-weather proof with IP55 certification, making the television sets withstand rain showers or extreme heat. Sylvox confirms the TVs can function perfectly in temperatures ranging from -30 degrees Celsius to +50 degrees Celsius.
Available now through Sylvox’s website and Amazon, the Cinema Series TVs tout 4K Ultra HD resolution with support for Dolby Vision HDR, allowing deeper blacks, higher contrast, and vibrant colors not previously possible in outdoor TVs. The audio output here is managed by a pair of integrated 30-watt speakers, a subwoofer, and Dolby Atmos support. The TVs run all OTT apps and streaming services via built-in Google TV.
Sylvox Gaming series starting at €2,299 ($2,700)

Designed with sports fans and gamers in mind, the IP55-rated, weatherproof Gaming Series TVs in the series feature a responsive 120 Hz display. The televisions come in 55-, 65-, and 75-inch sizes with ultra-low latency (<8 ms) for smooth, precise visuals, allowing the viewers to enjoy fast-paced matches and action-packed games without lag. Also integrated with Google TV, the Gaming series supports Dolby Atmos and powerful external speakers for realistic audio output.
Rolling Series starting at €899 ($1,050)

As the name suggests, Rolling Series portable TVs from Sylvox are versatile mobile hubs that adapt to your lifestyle, providing multimedia entertainment where you need it when you need it, especially within the confines of your home. The touchscreen displays available in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes can be easily transported from one room to the other on their wheeled stands, without cables or assembly hassle. The TVs are highly adjustable for the best viewing angle thanks to their 90-degree rotatable and ±30-degree tiltable displays. The sets also offer 7-inch height adjustability and 5 hours of playback time on an integrated 10,000 mAh polymer lithium battery.
