Family-run Tiffin Motorhomes is well known for its luxury RVs, but now the brand is slowly expanding into more budget-friendly options. After introducing the GH2 camper van, Tiffin is back with another model – the Tiffin Open Trail. Designed for off-road adventures and extended trips, it offers the space and features of a Class C motorhome in a compact form. Built on a Sprinter 3500 chassis, the 25-foot-6-inch van combines rugged performance with a spacious interior, making it a great choice for family adventures.
As pointed out by New Atlas, the all-new 2026 Tiffin Open Trail is 25.5 feet (7.8 meters) long, making it 2.5 feet (76 cm) longer than the extended GH2 camper van. It is also wider at the back, measuring 84 inches (213 cm), which is 4 inches (10 cm) more than the standard Sprinter van. Its roof is a foot taller and extends over the cab with a small storage area for adding extra space inside.
Tiffin’s Open Trail is currently offered in the 25 AO floor plan, which features twin beds in the rear, complete with overhead storage, under-bed closets, and reading lights. For added flexibility, the twin beds can be converted into a spacious 76 x 80-inch (193 x 203 cm) king-size bed using center cushions. Additionally, a sleeper sofa in the living area provides extra sleeping space to accommodate guests or family members.
This layout includes smart under-bench storage for table and accessories, a powerful 15,000 BTU ducted AC with a heat pump and variable speed compressor. The galley-style kitchen features a solid surface countertop, stainless steel sink with a hide-away faucet, stainless steel microwave, a portable single-burner induction cooktop, and a refrigerator. The bathroom offers the comfort of home with a spacious 48×32-inch residential-style wet bath, complete with a toilet, vanity, and plenty of room to move around.
For power, it comes standard with a 270-Ah Battle Born lithium battery, a 3,000W inverter, and an optional dual 200W solar panel setup. It’s not fully reliant on electricity either; Tiffin includes a 3.2-kW diesel generator for backup.

The Open Trail comes standard with all-wheel drive, a 220-amp alternator, front and rear LT 245/70R16 tires, custom Tiffin Adventure black alloy wheels, four-wheel ABS brakes, and rear Sumo Springs to tackle off-road terrains.
The Tiffin Open Trail camper van seats four while driving and camping, making it ideal for couples with a guest or child. Tiffin has not revealed any pricing and availability details yet.
