Home is where love abounds, where memories unfold like the pages of a book. Louise’s tiny house is the epitome of love and reflects memories of her late father. After purchasing the outer shell from the local builders, Louise and her father built this house as a DIY project and made it not only practical but full of comfort and art. Now, every corner of the house keeps alive her father’s remembrances.

Situated on an idyllic landscape, Louise’s tiny house allows her to live simply with surrounding nature and different animals such as horses, ducks, cows, and more. With so much idleness around, she has built a beautiful home for herself.

Her tiny house has a board and batten exterior painted in two contrasting colors for a striking appearance. There is an expansive deck outside which beautifully extends the space. Louise enjoys spending time outdoors, watching animals, sunsets, and the expansive landscape. For her, it is a joy to be able to chill on her deck and enjoy nature’s bounties. She is an art fanatic and loves playing with colors, for that reason, she has built a separate art studio for herself where she can be free and messy.

Entering Louise’s tiny house feels like you have just walked into a dream. Wherever you look, the space explodes with endearing colors and her artwork. The windows all around turn the space into a bright and cozy haven and tiny details make the house habitable. Her house is double-storey, quite practical, and fits her needs well. There is a living room, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a Jack & Jill loft.

Her living room is a lovely space. It accommodates a sofa and an armchair. Along with it is a flower-shaped side table and a wall-mounted TV hidden behind one of her artworks. There is a fireplace to warm up the space during cold days. Additional details such as attractive wallpaper, traveling board, and paintings make the space dreamier.

Adjacent is the bathroom, enclosed by a door. The bathroom is outfitted with a vanity sink, a shower, and flushing toilet. Rugs, chair wall hooks, and paintings make the space more aesthetic as well as functional.

The spacious kitchen features an L-shaped countertop, a sink, cabinets, and drawers for seamless storage. Appliances, such as a cooktop, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a washer-dryer unit also occupy the kitchen space with everything fitted immaculately in their designated spot. Adding a fun feature to Louise’s kitchen is a unique, wall-mounted and pull-out desk. It is space-saving and functional. Thanks to a picturesque door that opens out on her deck, the kitchen is filled with natural light.

Now off to Louise’s Jack & Jill loft bedroom, accessible via stairs. There is a family tree on the wall with pictures of her loved ones. It serves as a profound gesture of her undying that she carries for her family.

In the loft there are two bedrooms. One bedroom is outfitted with a twin-size bed, cabinets, and a side table. The room is spacious and bright and idle for guests. On the other side is her bedroom, which houses a king-size bed, side table, wardrobe, shutters for privacy, and windows providing natural light and panoramic views of the outdoors.

Louise’s tiny house offers off-grid amenities such as solar panels on the roof, rainwater system, and gas. These functionalities give her the freedom to live a debt-free and humble farm life with her cats, dogs, and all the farm animals while keeping her father’s memories close to her heart. To build this tiny house, she has spent a total of $97,000.
