The popularity of vinyl is never going to fade, and now people are leaning towards portability. If you were impressed by Korg’s Handytraxx Play or VIBESPIN’s retro-style portable record player, there is good news for you! Toshiba’s sub-brand Aurex has just launched the AX-RP10, a portable vinyl record player that adds mobility to the classic experience of vinyl listening. This battery-powered turntable can connect to Bluetooth headphones and speakers, allowing you to enjoy your favorite records anytime, anywhere.
The AX-RP10 features a 109mm die-cast aluminum alloy platter and a sleek transparent lid. Its belt-drive system supports 33.33 and 45 RPM speeds while offering high sound quality with a signal-to-noise ratio of over 60 dB and less than 0.2 percent wow and flutter.
There are onboard buttons for Bluetooth, speed, and power, plus LED indicators to show device status. It also includes an arm lifter that allows you to easily raise and lower the needle, and an auto-stop function that prevents unnecessary battery consumption and needle wear.
Another cool highlight is the jacket holder on the top of the unit that allows you to display your favorite record jacket up in the holder, making it an interior decoration piece as well.

With a built-in 2000mAh battery, the AX-RP10 lets you play records anywhere. All you need is a Bluetooth speaker, or you can even use a wired headphone with an onboard 3.5mm stereo mini jack. It charges in 3.5 hours via USB-C and runs for up to 10 hours.
Measuring 160W x 74H x 300D mm and weighing just 1.2 kg, the AX-RP10 turntable is compact and light enough to take anywhere. It is slated to launch this month, but unfortunately, it is designed exclusively for Japan and will not be available overseas.
