Give your bathroom a soul and character with the Val Luminex freestanding bathtub. Crafted by Swiss manufacturer Laufen and designed by Munich-based designer Konstantine Grcic, this bathtub is being showcased at the upcoming 2026 Maison & Objet fair. Offering an otherworldly experience to users, the bathtub has built-in LED lights, which illuminate the space and rejuvenate the senses.
From a design perspective, the VAL Luminex bathtub features simple architectural lines and a defining oval shape, lending it a sculptural identity. This freestanding bathtub is made from Sentec, a solid and non-porous surface material, which gives you a feeling that you’re taking a plunge in a natural basin.
The surface of the bathtub is smooth, hygienic, durable, UV-resistant, and scratch-resistant, thanks to a high percentage of mineral particles present in the material. Weighing 115 kilograms and measuring 1600 x 750 x 520 mm, the bathtub comes with a water capacity of 275 liters.
The bathtub is integrated with an LED panel under the tub floor for an immersive experience. This LEDs lights up the bathtub in vivacious colors and different lighting scenarios, turning your bathroom into a sanctuary of visual sensations. These lighting scenes can be controlled via a remote, which comes with 3 AAA batteries.
Though the bathtub is freestanding, the LED panel is accompanied by a 32-foot-long connection cable and needs to be installed. Overall, the VAL Luminex freestanding bathtub has all the potential to become a focal point in the bathroom.
It serves an aesthetic and practical purpose, making it an ideal option for both residential and hospitality sectors. It is available in T00 – White translucent color, transforming your regular bath into a stunning visual feast. You can now explore the entire VAL range of bathroom products, which include washbasins, WC and bidets, bathtubs, faucets, and accessories.
