Kickstarter-famous brand Valerion, known for its budget-friendly professional-grade VisionMaster Max 4K projector, has unveiled an upgraded model at IFA 2025. The new RGB laser projector enhances brightness and black-level performance, incorporates rainbow-effect elimination technology, and offers immersive wireless surround sound to elevate the home entertainment experience. Among past models, only the Max featured vertical lens shift; this has now been upgraded with interchangeable lenses for greater installation flexibility. With these updates, the projector moves even closer to true professional-grade performance.

The latest VisionMaster Max is promoted as the world’s first lifestyle projector with interchangeable lenses. This means users can easily swap lenses to adapt the projector for different spaces, whether it is a compact living room, a mid-sized home theater, or a large venue setup. It combines physical and digital zoom with a variable throw ratio of 0.9-2.0:1.

The native 0.9-1.5:1 ratio fits tight spaces, while an optional auxiliary lens extends it to 1.5-2.0:1 for long-distance setups. To enhance versatility, the projector features a patented bayonet mount that also supports compatible lenses from other leading brands. By allowing both short-throw and long-throw configurations, it gives viewers versatility previously limited to high-end professional projectors.

The VisionMaster Max now offers a higher native contrast of 5,000:1 (up from 4,000:1) and an Enhanced Black Level (EBL) contrast of 50,000:1 (up from 15,000:1) to deliver richer depth, sharper shadow detail, and more cinematic impact. Its proprietary NoirScene Dark Field Engine uses a precision IRIS aperture, stray light shielding, and advanced EBL algorithms to render dark scenes with exceptional clarity and tension.

The precision IRIS aperture is a fixed mechanical system that controls how much light passes through the projector, providing stable brightness and easier calibration compared to a dynamic iris. Its stainless-steel blades are coated with heat-resistant black paint to improve native contrast, deliver deeper blacks, enhance color accuracy in dark scenes, and maintain consistent luminance without frequent recalibration.

The projector also debuts a world-first Anti-RBE (rainbow effect) technology to set a new standard for DLP projectors. It blends individual color sequences at an incredibly high speed, eliminating 99.99 percent of the distracting red, green, and blue flashes. The brightness has also been boosted to 3,500 ISO lumens (up from 3,000) to ensure even crisper, more vibrant visuals.

Other key features include Gigabit Ethernet, built-in Google TV with Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, HDR10+ support, and AI-driven scene optimization. Powered by the AI-enhanced MT9618 SoC with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, it delivers smooth gaming, and fast start up and navigation. The projector also works seamlessly with Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Control4 for easy smart home integration.

To complete the home cinema projector setup, Valerion is also launching the ThunderBeat 5.1.2 Wireless Surround Sound System. This true Dolby Atmos setup offers ultra-low latency, wireless convenience, and a 5.1.2 channel layout that creates a dome-shaped soundstage for immersive, cinema-quality audio at home.

The upgraded VisionMaster Max is now available for preorder at $4,999 from the official website; however, the official release is slated for October. The ThunderBeat 5.1.2 Wireless Surround Sound costs an additional $1,298, while a 4.1.2 version without the center speaker will be available for $999.
