I still use a pen to take notes. Some of us have moved past and rely on AI tools on our phones and laptops. But better still may be Vocci, the world’s first AI note-taking ring, announced at CES 2026.
Made from titanium, Vocci AI smart ring features a single button that initiates voice recording with a double tap. Its battery is designed to last, allowing you to record up to eight hours of audio on the trot, before requiring recharge.
Vocci is not another Dictaphone, like that used by Louis Litt in Suits, to capture momentary thoughts for Norma. It’s, in fact, a capable device that can record an entire conversation from hours long meeting with just the touch of a button.
The ring is designed and developed by Gyges Labs, the same company that showed a pair of wayfarer-style Halliday smart glasses last year. If you are concerned about the privacy around Vocci, the makers confirm that the ring isn’t always listening to your conversation. It only starts recording when the user manually double taps the small button onboard. Double clicking again ends the recording.
Vocci allows users to mark conversations as important or highlight parts of the discussion by a single tap on the button. When the recording is ended by the user, Vocci generates a transcript of the recording and sends it to the user’s phone. Built-in AI allows the ring to highlight key information where appropriate.
According to the company, the ring supports more than 100 languages and “it doesn’t just record; it features a new way of thinking, remembering, and acting.” The Vocci ring measures 2.8mm thick and 6.8mm wide and stands out from many other smart rings with a physical button and its functionality.
The ring functions within a five-meter range, so you may want to be in close range of your teacher in the classroom or your boss in the boardroom. Smart rings have, in the past, been popular ways to track health and wellness; Vocci wants to change that by adding a different chore to it. To make it effective at doing what it does, it comes with an earbuds-style charging case.
We do not have a word on its price at the time of writing. But we learn that it will go on preorder starting February and should begin shipping in April 2026.
